Ruben Amorim’s decisions continue to baffle those around him as the pressure on his shoulders increases exponentially.
Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that the Man United hierarchy are running out of patience for Amorim, who has won just one of his five matches in 2025-26.
This comes after an eye-watering amount of spending by the Red Devils over the summer, with Man United signing Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha to lead the line.
Multiple wantaway stars were allowed to depart ahead of the transfer deadline, including Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana, but not everyone was given that same opportunity.

Football Insider understood in August that Kobbie Mainoo would not be allowed to leave Man United, despite falling down the pecking order, and he is still struggling for minutes.

One important figure who would surely disagree with the player’s treatment is Sir Alex Ferguson.
Speaking about Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho‘s development at the club last season [Manchester Evening News], he said: “They’re young.
What they’re showing at the moment is the composure and confidence in the first team, and not being daunted by it.”

The manager has continued to suggest that minutes on the pitch will increase as the season goes on, but given how crucial the player has been since his arrival in the first team, he will be eager for so much more.
