Manchester United have slashed Jadon Sancho’s price in the hope of selling him this summer – and he is now likely to depart for an extraordinarily low fee.

The 25-year-old has spent the last season and a half away from Old Trafford, having loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea respectively.

Sancho is now well down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim and looks likely to be moving elsewhere before the end of the window.

Over the last few months, the winger has been linked with a return to Dortmund as well as a switch to Juventus, but is currently still in Manchester.

He joined United in the summer of 2021 for a fee of around £73million and could now leave for an astonishing £60m loss.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Sancho could be sold for as little as £15million, as Man United have to get rid of him.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that there is no way back for Sancho at Man United, and that the Red Devils have closed the door on any potential return.

The winger has been part of United’s ‘bomb squad’ during pre-season, training away from the rest of the group as he seeks an exit route out of Old Trafford.

Wyness added that Sancho still has some talent there, and there will be a club out there willing to take a chance on him.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I think they realise Sancho is not going anywhere for any sort of high price.

“We’ve been critical about Man United many times over the last few months, and again they’re almost rolling back on this saying, the bomb squad that we’ve set up, if we want them back, they’ll have to come and integrate again.

I think they’ve realised that there is no hope of a relationship there with Sancho.

He’s going to have to go, and it’s a case of finding whoever will buy him.

But look, there’s a talent there somewhere, and somebody’s going to take a chance at that sort of price.

So yeah, he’s been priced to sell.”

Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes will be going nowhere this summer with Amorim “determined” for the Manchester United captain to stay, sources have told Football Insider.

Fernandes was the subject of an £80million bid from Al-Hilal at the start of the summer transfer window, but the Man United captain rejected this move to stay put at Old Trafford in a huge boost for Amorim.

Football Insider revealed on 8 August that interest in Fernandes from the Middle East has resurfaced as the last month of the window begins, with both Al-Hilal and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr keen on him.

However, sources have told Football Insider that Amorim is in no mood to let Fernandes leave as part of his squad rebuild at Old Trafford this summer, despite a near-complete transformation of United’s attack.
