Man Utd Not Side People Think – Liverpool Legend Can’t See Win Over Man City

Former Liverpool star Gary Gillespie believes Manchester United are not the side everyone thinks they are under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and feels they cannot beat Manchester City in the derby.

The Reds maintained the pressure on defending champions Manchester City by registering a convincing 2-0 win over Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday in the Premier League.

“But I think City are too good a team to slip up against Manchester United.

Despite their win over Crystal Palace on the same day, Manchester City continue to trail Liverpool by a single point, but still have an extra game in hand over their fellow title-chasers.

“But there are fixtures there where they can slip up.” Liverpool will next face FC Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday before facing Cardiff City in the Premier League this weekend.

And although Manchester City have to contest the Manchester derby against Manchester United, Gillespie believes the Red Devils will not be able to beat the defending champions.

The former Red feels Manchester United have gone off the boil in recent weeks under Solskjaer and as such, they will not be able to get a win against Manchester City.
