The 20-year-old goalkeeper received his first call up for the Netherlands senior team this week for their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers. Verbruggen has made just 24 appearances for Belgian side Anderlecht since joining them from Dutch club NAC Breda and is under contract until 2025.
Verbruggen was also recently lauded by former Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, who is now the captain of Anderlecht.
Championship leaders Burnley, managed by Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany, attempted to sign Verbruggen last summer but Anderlecht rejected their approach.
United and Liverpool are also among the clubs from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
