Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham has predicted that Liverpool could win the treble this season — if Arne Slot's side can get a transfer deal for Alexander Isak over the line.

Earlier in the summer, Liverpool saw an opening offer rejected for Isak.

"Success for Isak is winning the treble for Liverpool, and I think he can do that," Sheringham told Snabbare.

"I think he will get enough chances.

Alexander Isak appears to be on his way out of Newcastle.

He will have no problem fitting into the Liverpool system for me."

Last season, only Mohamed Salah scored more goals in the Premier League than Isak.

In addition to chasing Isak, Liverpool is also looking at signing at least one center-back, with interest in Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi and Parma wonderkid Giovanni Leoni.
