Manchester United pair Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot have been granted additional time off following the death of their Portugal teammate Diogo Jota.
The soccer world has been in mourning ever since it was announced that the Liverpool forward, who was married only two weeks ago, had died in a car crash in Spain alongside his brother Andre Silva.
Both Fernandes and Dalot were in attendance for the funeral in Gondomar, alongside a handful of Liverpool players who came to mourn the loss of their teammate.
And, following the shocking news, it has been confirmed that Fernandes and Dalot will not need to return to Manchester for pre-season training so soon after their Portugal teammates' death.
However, Fernandes and Dalot will not be in attendance, with the pair having been granted the full week off.
Both Dalot and Fernandes paid tribute to the last Liverpool forward.
Posting on Instagram, Fernandes wrote: "Friend, colleague and companion of a thousand battles, it's hard to understand how can someone leave so soon.
Diogo Dalot was also in attendance for Jota's funeral.
They had been due to report for pre-season last week on Friday, July 4, with more players also set to return on Monday, July 7.
However, the shocking news of Jota's passing led to Liverpool giving their players added time off to come to terms with their teammate's death.
