Former Manchester United forward Dwight Yorke has suggested an audacious swoop for Liverpool's Darwin Nunez.

Speculation is rife that the Uruguayan striker could be on his way out of Anfield come summer, with his next club still up in the air.

Atletico Madrid is said to be among those eyeing the Premier League striker and might just have an advantage as rumors suggest the former Benfica ace has a soft spot for a move to Spain's capital.

Talk of interest from Saudi Arabian clubs has also surfaced, yet Nunez appears more inclined to continue his career within Europe.

Despite no current links to United, the Red Devils are anticipated to bolster their attacking options following a lacklustre season in front of goal, led by Rasmus Hojlund.

He's not going to get that with Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk and the other players who they have there.

"I think for me personally if I was United, I know the Liverpool and the Man United thing is a bit of a rift there, but I look beyond that.
