Man Utd vs Liverpool: Possible dates for match to be played after postponement

Manchester United and Liverpool still do not know when their Premier League clash is set to go ahead with a date for the rearranged fixture yet to be agreed upon.

The original fixture that was set to be played on Sunday at Old Trafford, was postponed due to fan protests.

The postponement has caused a considerable amount of problems for both clubs and indeed the Premier League simply because there is not a clear date for the game to be played between now and the end of the domestic season on Sunday, May 23.

It is not possible for it to take place this week as the Red Devils are required to travel to Italy for their UEFA Europa League semi-final second-leg against AS Roma.

The game might have been possible the following weekend but due to Liverpool's clash with West Brom at the Hawthorns, that is simply not achievable.

There could be special permission given to play the match after the season's end - an eventuality that the Red Devils have had to deal with before.

A clash against Bournemouth was postponed in 2016 due to a suspicious package found at Old Trafford - a game that was eventually played two days later.
