A man sharing the same name as the accused in the Liverpool FC parade incident, where 79 individuals were injured, has taken to social media to post a concise yet apt tweet.

Paul Doyle, from West Derby, Liverpool, is currently in custody after being named as the driver at the center of the Liverpool Parade incident during today's police briefing, Thursday, May 29.

As the suspect's identity was revealed for the first time since Monday, May 26, another Paul Doyle, who identifies himself as an LFC season ticket holder, took to Twitter shortly thereafter to express his feelings succinctly.

This Paul Doyle, who has nothing to do with the accused, tweeted simply: "Ffs", using the common text-shorthand abbreviation for 'for f---- sake', accompanied by a facepalm emoji and a duo of tears-of-joy emojis.

The tweet, which has amassed over 125,000 views, prompted many responses, with several followers also seeing the humorous aspect of this particular Paul's situation.

One comment read: "Most famous you're ever gonna be.

"Be quick, you might be able to make a bit of dosh from your newfound following by advertising products," one individual commented, while another suggested: "Put up a picture of Shaggy, with the caption 'It wasn't me'".

One concerned individual looking out for the other Paul's welfare wrote (in caps): "Guys it isn't him it's someone with the same name do not harass this man", while a chap named James Brown mentioned that he gets asked if he feels good "almost daily".

Those acquainted with Paul Doyle who is facing charges, have expressed bewilderment over the arrest, describing him as a "normal" bloke.
