It’s shaping up to be one of the most intriguing summers yet for Liverpool, as head coach Arne Slot looks to make his mark on the squad he took over less than 12 months ago.

The Reds stormed to a Premier League title under the Dutchman, who made just one new addition to the team last summer in the form of Federico Chiesa.

This year, a far greater level of change is expected as Slot looks to build a team not only capable of retaining the league title, but also pushing further in both domestic and European competitions next season.

To help finance potential incomings, there will also be several outgoings, with fringe players expected to move on.

That said, the Reds need to strengthen their defensive options this summer, and if deals can be done for both players, it should be a no-brainer for the club.
