Khaldoon Al-Mubarak has put Liverpool on notice ahead of the 2025-26 season, warning Arne Slot's newly minted Reds that Manchester City want their throne back.
The former Premier League champions' period of dominance came to an end this term with Pep Guardiola's team struggling to match their own remarkable feats of the past four years.
City ended up finishing third, 13 points behind Liverpool.
The 2024-25 campaign also marks the first time in EIGHT years that City have ended the season with a trophy.
This season is a season that's now behind us," Al-Mubarak said in his annual post-season address.
"Today is a new day.
And we will take all the good things and the not so good things from this season, and learn from it, improve from it and get better.

"I can assure you, this club will do everything possible to come back to the standards that we know we all can achieve - and that we know we will achieve.
"Because really, if there's one thing I'd like right now, it’s to turn that page from last season and just immediately start focusing on next season."
Guardiola will be given the green light to reshape a playing squad that appeared to simply run out of steam this season after bagging four successive league titles.
