It is going to be a fascinating transfer window for Liverpool as they look to build on their success this season.

Strengthening their title-winning team will be a priority for Liverpool, as the new Premier League champions look set to gift Arne Slot a significant transfer budget to show a real sign of intent this summer.

There was little desire from Liverpool to part ways with Darwin Nunez in January when the Saudi Pro League came knocking amidst a title-chasing season, but now that Liverpool have secured Premier League glory, attention turns to the summer and Nunez is edging towards the exit door.

It has now been revealed that a transfer decision made by Manchester United could pave the way for a big-money sale by Liverpool.

Whilst Al-Hilal are the side that have strongly expressed interest in Nunez, Bruno Fernandes is also a big target for them.

However, Ruben Amorim made it clear in his press conference this week that the Portuguese midfielder was not for sale and wishes for the player to remain with United for many years to come.

Such a decision from the Manchester United boss closes the door for a sale of Fernandes, but potentially opens another, for Darwin Nunez.

It could shift Al-Hilal’s focus back to more attainable options such as Darwin Nunez, who sees himself much more available than Bruno Fernandes.

Al-Hilal will be looking to add to their squad ahead of the Club World Cup that kicks off in June.
