Marc Cucurella shared an “angry” response to Chelsea teammate Moises Caicedo on social media ahead of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
The Blues are preparing to play their first game in Europe’s most esteemed club competition since the 2022-23 season.
However, they will face the mammoth task of taking on Bundesliga champions Bayern, having not beaten the Bavarian side in their last three meetings.
Chelsea have signed Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, and seven other new players in preparation for their meeting with Vincent Kompany‘s side.
But Enzo Maresca will be hoping his players will remain focused on the task at hand, particularly after an “angry” message from Cucurella to his teammate Caicedo.

Poking fun at his teammate, Cucurella responded by saying “Enfadado/contento”, which translates from Spanish to English as “Angry/happy”.
Nicolas Jackson made the move to Bayern this summer, but the 25-year-old also showed his support for his teammate by liking the post, despite his displeasure with his current parent club.
The last time these two clubs met and Chelsea emerged as victors was back in the 2012 Champions League final.
That moment marked the first time that the Blues were crowned as champions of Europe, but their matches against Bayern have been a one-sided affair since then.
However, if ever that was going to change, Wednesday’s (17 September) match-up seems like the perfect opportunity.

What’s more, Bayern will be without Jamal Musiala, who suffered a gruesome injury during the Club World Cup.
Without the former Chelsea academy star, the German champions look far less imperious, giving the West London side the perfect opportunity to cause a shock in Bavaria.
