Marc Guehi was all smiles less than 24 hours after his £35million move to Liverpool collapsed.

The Reds were locked in talks with Crystal Palace over a deal that would have seen the centre-back move to Anfield.

Liverpool had reached an agreement to sign Guehi from Palace for £35million, with the defender's contract set to expire at the end of the season.

However, the deal fell through after Palace decided against sanctioning Guehi's exit in the final minutes of the transfer window.

The Selhurst Park club had been looking to sign Igor Julio from Brighton, who had been viewed as a replacement.

After the centre-back chose to join West Ham instead, Palace decided against allowing Guehi to join Liverpool despite a deal being agreed and a medical taking place.

And now, less than 24 hours after the transfer collapsed, Guehi has linked up with the England squad.

Taking to Instagram, he posted a photo of himself arriving at St George's Park and was all smiles as he linked with up his international team-mates.

Guehi will be hoping to feature in the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia for Thomas Tuchel's side during the international break.
