Liverpool begin their pre-season schedule on Sunday as the start of the season creeps into sight.
After plenty of early transfer business, the Reds have put further additions on hold while they deal with the aftermath of Diogo Jota’s tragic passing.
But while the devastation of Jota’s death will continue to be felt around the club for months, if not years, into the future, Liverpool do still need a couple of additions.
With the season coming into view and July fast approaching its second-half, transfer rumours are starting to reappear for Liverpool.
Here’s a round-up of what’s been reported on Saturday.

One of the additions Liverpool simply have to make in what’s left of the window is a centre-back.
Marc Guehi has been heavily touted as being towards the top of the Reds’ wanted list, but Crystal Palace are unwilling to compromise on his price tag.
And with Palace standing firm over a deal worth at least £45-50m, journalist David Lynch says Liverpool could revert to plan B.
The journalist says the Reds are likely to look for a young, up and coming defender if they can’t land Guehi, with Parma’s Giovanni Leoni and Konstantinos Koulierakis said to have been watched.

While Liverpool are working hard on a couple of incoming deals, there is also plenty left to sort in terms of exits as well.
One player who no fan would like to see depart is Alexis Mac Allister, with the Argentine becoming a key player during his two years at the club.

Worryingly, Mac Allister has been linked with Real Madrid for a little while now.
Xabi Alonso wants a new midfielder, and although Cope claim that Liverpool’s No.
10 fits the bill, it is reportedly unlikely to happen this summer.
They claim that Liverpool would want at least £86m for Mac Allister and, as a result, Madrid will not move for him this summer.
Phew.

Back to incomings, and another player to be rarely out of the headlines recently has been Hugo Ekitike.
Liverpool are reportedly keen on Ekitike as they look to address signing a new number nine this summer.
And after months of waiting, a report from journalist Florian Plettenberg on Saturday claimed that Eintracht Frankfurt expects bids to arrive for Ekitike in July.
Liverpool are once again named as an interested party, although the German club are reportedly happy to keep the Frenchman – who scored a ‘stunning’ goal against Tottenham last season – for another season.
Elsewhere, Ibrahima Konate has reportedly turned down Atletico Madrid, while Darwin Nunez’s transfer to Napoli could be in jeopardy.
