Liverpool have found themselves embroiled in more than a couple of transfer sagas during the final days of June.

Although the Reds have managed to get a big chunk of their business done early, there are still one or two incomings – and several outgoings – left to negotiate.

With three new players through the door already, much of the focus at Anfield is likely to be on clearing space within the Liverpool squad.

And as the Reds attempt to trim the fat from their Premier League champions, small steps were made on Sunday.

One of the players who is most in danger of being sold this summer is Luis Diaz, who has been flirting with an exit from Liverpool over the past 18 months.

Recent claims suggested Diaz is upset with Liverpool following their refusal to negotiate over a transfer to Barcelona, as well as their stance on blocking new contract talks with him.

But as per a new update from journalist Ben Jacobs, Barcelona are not the only club eyeing the Colombian.

Jacobs claims Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr are planning a monster bid of around £73m to sign Diaz, with the 28-year-old’s stance on a move to the Middle East said to be ‘unclear’ for the time being.

Along with Diaz, Darwin Nunez is the other player likely to pull in a big sale for Liverpool this summer.

The Uruguayan has also been linked with a Saudi transfer, but as Rousing The Kop revealed on Saturday, Nunez has his heart set on joining Napoli.

And according to a Sunday update from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool met with Napoli to discuss the sale of Nunez earlier this week.

With the Reds said to be seeking a minimum of £55m as a starting point for the 26-year-old, and Napoli so far unwilling to meet that asking price, Romano says negotiations are moving at a ‘slow and steady’ pace.

While outgoing deals begin to dominate headlines in regards to Liverpool, the potential move to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace has been capturing fans’ imaginations.

Reports claimed Liverpool were closing in on Guehi on Saturday, but updates on Sunday suggested those assertions may have been hasty.

Instead, another post from Ben Jacobs outlined what Liverpool could do if they feel Palace’s asking price is simply too high.

According to Jacobs, the Reds have no intention of paying £45-50m for Guehi and will target a young centre-back between the ages of 18 and 22 if the valuation is not significantly lowered.

Ajax’s Jorell Hato is named as a potential one to watch, with past interest in Levi Colwill, Leny Yoro and Dean Huijsen said to be providing a clue as to what Liverpool are looking for.
