Crystal Palace and England centre-back Marc Guehi has taken to social media as he continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.

The Reds have been credited with an interest in signing the England international this summer as they look set to have a busy and big-spending transfer window.

Liverpool are expected to be in the market for a new central defender this summer, with Jarell Quansah heading for the exit door.

The Reds are close to agreeing a £35million deal for him to join Bayer Leverkusen.

As a result, Guehi has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Quansah if Liverpool do go into the market for a new centre-back.

Guehi helped Palace win the FA Cup last season, and the player about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Selhurst Park.

Amid the speculation of a possible move to Anfield, Guehi has posted a message on social media.

The 24-year-old is currently on holiday in the United States and posted on Instagram a series of photos of himself in New York City.

Guehi accompanied the post with a caption that featured just a red apple emoji, a reference to New York's popular nickname, 'The Big Apple'.

The post to Guehi's 187,000 followers received more than 9,000 likes, including one from former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

Liverpool have already been rather busy in the transfer market this summer.

Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi have both been signed by the Reds - and the Premier League champions are also looking to complete deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez in the next few days.

With the potential of four new signings through the door at Anfield before the end of June, Liverpool still have until September 1 to complete their transfer business.
