Marc Guehi has reportedly told friends that he wants to join Liverpool, as the Reds pursue a fourth major signing in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool has already secured the services of Jeremie Frimpong on Florian Wirtz, while Milos Kerkez is expected to undergo a medical next week.
And despite the spend for those players totaling close to $250 million including add-ons, the Reds seemingly have no intention of stopping any time soon.
Liverpool is in the position to spend freely this summer after quiet windows last summer and in January, and their budget has also been boosted by the departures of Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Kelleher was sold for an initial $17 million — although that fee could rise to $24 million if various add-on clauses are met — while Alexander-Arnold departed for $11.5 million.
Alexander-Arnold's fee pales in comparison to his market value — which is $86 million, according to Transfermarkt — and that is big reason why Liverpool fans remain so disappointed with the manner of his departure.
Jarell Quansah's market value is almost four times lower than Alexander-Arnold's, but he is set to bring in a transfer fee around four times higher than Liverpool's former No
66, with the Reds expected to receive in excess of $45 million for the center-back from Bayer Leverkusen.
Quansah's likely departure opens up a spot in the squad for a new center-back, and Guehi is said to be Liverpool's No.1 target to replace the 22-year-old.
Jarell Quansah is set to leave Liverpool
Football Insider says that Guehi has decided he would rather join Liverpool over the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham — two clubs which are also said to be interested in signing him.
Liverpool is facing a period of uncertainty in the center-back position, with no long-term guarantees over the futures of any of the four center-backs who were in the squad this season.
Quansah appears to be leaving, while Joe Gomez has also been linked with a move away, and Ibrahima Konate will soon enter the final 12 months of his contract on Merseyside.
Virgil van Dijk signed a two-year contract extension in April but he turns 34 next month, and while he has shown no signs of slowing down any time soon, Arne Slot will be keen to add a player like Guehi, 24, to bring some long-term stability to that area of the field.
