Marc Guehi, the Crystal Palace defender, would reportedly prefer a move to Liverpool if he were to leave his current club, although no offer has been made yet.
The 25-year-old is in the final year of his contract with Palace, who have set a £40million asking price for him.
Liverpool were leading the race for Guehi, but their attention has since shifted to Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
Tottenham tabled a £70m offer in January, which was also turned down, and the former Chelsea prospect went on to lead the Eagles to FA Cup victory.

Crystal Palace have been scouting Sporting Lisbon's Ousmane Diomande and Inter Milan's Yann Aurel Bisseck as potential replacements for Marc Guehi.
"Even though all the players are still here, we haven't made the most of the transfer window so far," he lamented.

The Palace boss also revealed his expectations had not been met regarding squad reinforcements.
If that happens and we get four new ones on deadline day like last year, another false start is possible."
