The final week of the transfer window is here and teams will need to act quickly before it is too late.
Liverpool have started their title defence off the way they would have hoped to in terms of results, but performances have shown that new recruits are still needed.
They have conceded four goals in half as many games, with many of these coming from very avoidable situations and set pieces.
As well as this, their attacking options are still limited, meaning new signings could be made at both ends of the pitch, although they will have to pick up the pace with the deadline very soon.
Here is what has been reported in terms of transfers on Tuesday 26th August.

As seen in the opening two games, Liverpool’s defence looks far from assertive, but it has been Ibrahima Konate in particular who has struggled amid his contract uncertainty.
Whether he does go or not, the Reds still need a new centre-half, with Marc Guehi the top choice this summer.
The Englishman wants guaranteed minutes if he is to join, something he will likely get given the issues that continue to persist, and he is said to prefer a move to Liverpool rather than Manchester City.

The Cityzens could join the race for Guehi if they make some sales, but as long as the Reds make a fair offer, the 25-year-old should end up at Anfield either way.

One way or another, the Alexander Isak saga needs to be sorted sooner rather than later as it has been dragging on for far too long.
And, with less than a week left until the deadline, it should reach its climax soon, with the Reds already having a back-up plan to fall back on should the Swede be forced to stay.

According to reports, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is Liverpool’s top target should they fail to get Isak, with the Brazilian likely costing in the region of €100m (£86.4m).
However, with Rio Ngumoha scoring a last-minute winner against Newcastle, many fans might be opposed to this move as they do not want the 16-year-old’s pathway blocked.
In terms of transfer news, Tuesday has been a very quiet day for a few reasons, with the first being that Liverpool only played last night.
As well as this, their business is almost complete and currently, only Isak and Guehi are the players that they are most likely to make a move for in the next few days.
Elsewhere, however, Jamie Carragher believes that Milos Kerkez has not been good enough so far for Liverpool, while Mohamed Salah has just helped break a record that stood for 24 years.
