Marc Guehi 'stance' on Liverpool transfer after failed move and Real Madrid 'talks'

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi reportedly remains keen to join Liverpool following a failed deadline day move.

He is expected to captain Palace when Liverpool visit Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).

The defender has less than a year remaining on his contract with the club and is not expected to sign a new deal.

It therefore means that he will either be sold in January or leave Palace on a free transfer next summer.

According to GIVEMESPORT, Guehi is still 'very willing' to join Liverpool, however, it is claimed that the club will make a move for him in January and will instead look to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

The latest updates come amid talk that Guehi has his eyes set on a move to Real Madrid.

It was reported last week that the centre-back had told his advisors that he has his heart set on a move to the Bernabeu.

While it has also been claimed that Reds defender Ibrahima Konate is a priority target for Real Madrid this summer.

Like Guehi, the centre-back is out of contract in the summer, meaning that Real could agree a pre-contract in January.
