Liverpool are reportedly in talks over a potential transfer for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The centre-back has established himself as one of the top English defenders in the Premier League, and helped Palace to win their first FA Cup last month.



The report says that talks between all parties will take place this weekend.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the defender, but it seems that Liverpool are leading the race.

A fee of £40 million has been mentioned with Palace likely to accept below their £70 million valuation due to the player going into the final year of his contract.

There has been more reports over a potential move, with journalist Nicolo Schira reporting progress on his X account.

He posted: “Positive talks between Marc Guehi’s agents and Liverpool.

“Guehi has given his availability to join Reds for a contract until 2030.

LFC are working on an agreement with Crystal Palace.
