Marc Guehi had a Liverpool or nothing outloook during the transfer window, it has been claimed.

This could well mean the Crystal Palace captain still moves to Merseyside next summer, despite a deadline day switch collapsing and other teams entering the race.

England international Guehi will be allowed to leave Palace for free next summer when his contract expires.



They may be out of luck, though, with BBC Sport reporting that Guehi was only prepared to leave Selhurst Park during the summer window if it was to move to Anfield.

Palace were due to receive a fee in the region of £35million had they sold Guehi on deadline day.

It wasn't to be, though, and the lack of a fee may allow the centre-back to negotiate a better pay packet next summer.

The club appeared open to a sale, and Guehi had already filmed a farewell video.

Guehi, an Under-17 World Cup winner with England in 2017 joined Crystal Palace from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 after an impressive loan spell at Swansea.
