The Liverpool faithful have endured enough heartbreak this year watching Trent Alexander-Arnold swap his boyhood Anfield red for the white of Real Madrid.

Now, as the summer unfolds, another potentially devastating blow looms on the horizon in the form of Ibrahima Konate.

According to Jose Felix Diaz of Marca, Real Madrid could look to make a move for Konate in the coming weeks – in what will be a similar repeat to the January bid they made for Trent Alexander-Arnold in January this year:

“The white club was forced to present an offer last January, anticipating the plans, to try to incorporate the now called Trent due to Carvajal’s injury.”

In the coming weeks it can be repeated, Madrid did it in January and what does seem clear is that Liverpool’s directors are not going to give it away, but they also know that they do not want to allow a player of that level to leave with nothing in return.”
