Fulham manager Marco Silva has warned Liverpool that the weekend clash between the two sides could be another occasion of 'emotion' with the Portuguese's side hosting the Reds at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Liverpool needs to win six out of six remaining Premier League fixtures for there to be any chance of Jürgen Klopp going out with more than one trophy this season.

Its defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup perhaps kickstarted a difficult run in all competitions and there is now only one competition left to fight for.

Having lost to Crystal Palace last weekend, making it two defeats in a row at Anfield without scoring a goal, Liverpool will need to play much better against Fulham to stand a chance.

Klopp's side has not won away at Craven Cottage since March 2019 when a late James Milner penalty sealed the points in a 2-1 victory.

"They have been very good games," Fulham boss Silva said in his pre-match press conference earlier today.

Even last season, it was really tough for them to play at Craven Cottage, this season as well in the Carabao Cup, so let’s hope we can get a different result from the last few times we have played against them."

Liverpool.com says: Fulham will not be an easy opponent to play against and Liverpool will need to be a lot better in front of goal than it has been of late to stand a chance.

The missing of big chances simply has to stop.

Last season, the Fulham match on the opening day of the season was the first sign that something wasn't quite right for Liverpool.

If Liverpool doesn't win this weekend, the final five matches of the season could feel very long indeed.
