Aston Villa captain John McGinn dispatched an emotional message to Aston Villa supporters as their poor run in the league continued over the weekend.
Aston Villa were held to a goalless draw with Everton in their most recent Premier League fixture, stretching their winless run to four matches.
The side currently sit 19th in the league and Football Insider have revealed that Unai Emery is already under sack pressure following their poor start.
They are the only club in England’s top four divisions yet to find the net, with frustration aimed at the misfiring Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers.
Meanwhile, Tyrone Mings shared a message to Aston Villa supporters following the draw, and captain McGinn has now followed suit to address the supporters after another underwhelming display.
Despite the disappointing performance, McGinn shared a heartfelt post to the fans on Instagram which drew a reaction from teammates.
He captioned his post on Instagram with: “A rough start to the season that we are working hard to put right.

Rogers posted a comment on the post by leaving a heart emoji, while Harvey Elliott, Amadou Onana and ex-teammate Marcus Rashford all showed support by liking the post.
The captain endured an uncertain summer with Newcastle and Everton both showing interest in McGinn.
However, Villa were not looking to part ways with their skipper, and the Scotsman stayed beyond the deadline.
He continues to play a crucial part of the team for Emery as he has featured in every game this season, though he has been unable to halt their worrying run of form.

The club suffered numerous financial issues in the summer, which may have led to their quiet summer window.
Football Insider revealed Aston Villa may sell Rogers in 2026 if they fall foul of profit and sustainability rules to raise funds as he is one of the most high-value assets in the squad.
Tottenham and Liverpool hold an interest in Rogers should he be available for transfer, and even though Emery was able to fend off enquiries in the summer, Villa’s stance could shift if their financial position worsens.
