Aston Villa players both past and present have responded after Emiliano Martinez shared a heartfelt message with fans amid uncertainty over his future.

Unai Emery’s side have endured a challenging transfer window, with financial constraints impacting their summer business significantly.

In a bid to raise funds before the end-of-June accounting deadline, Aston Villa made a last-minute sale of their women’s team.

Despite that, several key players continue to be linked with exits as the club works to balance the books.

Football Insider revealed that Paris Saint-Germain are preparing an offer for Martinez, whose future has remained uncertain throughout the summer.

So far, however, no concrete bids have materialised.

The goalkeeper featured in Villa’s recent friendly against Nashville SC, where Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins were on the scoresheet.

Following the match, Martinez posted a series of photos on Instagram from the game, simply captioned: “Thank You Nashville.”

His post quickly gained attention, with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Youri Tielemans and John McGinn all among those who liked the message.

Football Insider previously revealed that Martinez has changed agents, now working with Jorge Mendes, which is seen by many as a strong indication that he could be preparing for a move away from Villa Park.

The 32-year-old has been a fan favourite since arriving from Arsenal, but it now appears he may be open to a new chapter in his career.

Martinez isn’t the only high-profile name linked with a possible exit as Rogers has also attracted interest from top Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal.

However, Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa are ready to resist any offers for Rogers and are determined to keep the forward at the club, despite recent financial concerns.

The former Manchester City academy star still has five years remaining on his contract, giving Villa a strong position to turn down any potential bids this summer.
