Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Liverpool has already left the Gunners playing catch up in the Premier League title race.
With just seven minutes left, Dominik Szoboszlai hit a stunning free-kick past David Raya to keep Liverpool‘s perfect start to the season intact.
Arsenal have now failed to win at Anfield in their past 17 attempts, a record which is hurting the Gunners’ title hopes.
There are still a couple of positives for Mikel Arteta to take from the match, and below are the three winners and losers from the contest.

Noni Madueke
Arsenal’s brightest attacker, with his pace causing Milos Kerkez problems down the right flank, stepping up in the absence of Bukayo Saka.
There were question marks raised at Madueke’s arrival at Arsenal from Chelsea, though on this display the 23-year-old could be a hit at the Emirates.
With Saka still out for a few more weeks, Madueke looks to have cemented his position down the right until he returns.

Cristian Mosquera
Brought on at Anfield after just five minutes, Mosquera did not look out of place alongside Gabriel on such a big stage.
Saliba has formed a formidable partnership with Gabriel at the back, and going down and not even trying to continue suggests the problem is serious.
A deal for Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie to Arsenal now looks more urgent.
Martin Zubimendi
Martin Zubimendi was left behind by the pace of the game at Anfield, and committed more fouls than any of his team mates.
Zubimendi needs to adapt to the Premier League quickly or Arsenal could continue to struggle to take charge of the big matches.
Gabriel Martinelli
Whilst Madueke dazzled on the right, Gabriel Martinelli did not attempt a shot on goal and was ineffective going forward.
Martinelli did not use his pace against Szoboszlai, who is playing out of position at right-back in the absence of Jeremie Frimpong.
With Eberechi Eze being given his first minutes, in place of Martinelli, the Brazilian needs to step up or risk losing his place in the team.
