Cash has given fans a glimpse of life at the training ground despite ongoing speculation about his future, sharing pictures from training on his Instagram story.

The right-back remains part of Unai Emery’s squad as Aston Villa prepare to face Brentford on 23 August at the Gtech Community Stadium, and he is expected to be involved.

Football Insider reports that Villa have begun exploring a deal to bring Marco Asensio back following his loan spell in the second half of last season.

The club initially decided against making the 29-year-old’s move permanent due to his high wages, but PSG are now understood to be open to a reduced offer, paving the way for a potential summer signing.
