Liverpool have made some big sales this summer, so they have gaps in the team that they are expected to fill.
The Reds have had a seriously impressive transfer window, and made some top-quality additions at the cost of £300m.
Despite spending a lot, they have also sold well and made over £200m from sales, meaning their net spend is not as high as most would think.
However, there are still some areas of their first-team squad that need addressing, as ever since Luis Diaz departed for Bayern Munich, many have thought that he would be replaced fairly promptly.
That has not been the case just yet but Arne Slot has hinted at who might be his successor, and he has hinted that Liverpool fans might need to look a little closer to home.

After spending such huge amounts of money, Liverpool will likely be a little more careful with who they opt to buy, with late additions now only arriving if the market opportunity is good enough.
There is no need to sign anyone just for the sake of it but many supporters are worried about the depth in certain positions, especially in attack.
This is where another winger would be helpful, regardless of whether Alexander Isak arrives at Anfield, but Slot seems pretty confident that he has everything he needs in attack to retain the Reds’ Premier League title.

“It depends how you want to look at it.
If you see Florian Wirtz as an attacking option as well, you can make it five [forwards available],” Slot told The Times when asked if Liverpool have enough depth in attack.
“Yes we’ve sold Darwin [Nunez], we’ve brought in Hugo [Ekitike], Luis [Diaz] is gone, but maybe you can see Florian as his replacement.

“Then you have Jeremie Frimpong who, when he is fit, is definitely an option to play as a winger as well.
We have six players who can play in three positions.”
With that said, it would suggest that the Dutchman is not expecting any more arrivals before deadline day, although he will still be hopeful that Isak will be done in time after chasing him for so long.
The fact that Liverpool still feel a little light on options will worry fans as they have spent a lot of money yet they, somehow, do not feel much stronger.
The quality of players has certainly increased, but to win a league title, as well as all the other trophies they will be going for, squad depth can be equally as important.
Many might have to play 50 games or more depending on how far Liverpool go in competitions, something that is not sustainable in the long run.
That means that Slot will have to hope that some of his youngsters can step up when required, as if not, the Reds’ hugely exciting season could be over quicker than they would have hoped.
As things stand, Isak, another winger and a centre-back still feel fairly essential, suggesting there is still plenty of work to be done in the final week of the window.
