Liverpool’s plan of brining Michael Olise to Anfield to replace Mo Salah in the future looks a shrewd move following his performance for France against Ukraine.
The Daily Mail [4 September], reported that Liverpool are lining Olise up as Salah’s successor when the 33-year-old’s contract expires in 2027.
Slot though is also looking long-term with Bayern Munich and former Crystal Palace star Olise on his shortlist to take the mantle from Salah down the right flank.

Olise has already scored four goals in four matches for Bayern this season, and the 23-year-old continued his sparkling form by netting the opener in France’s 2-0 victory over Ukraine.
Against Ukraine, Olise contributed in attack and defence as France won their opening match in World Cup qualification.

Since joining Bayern Munuch, Olise has become a sensation in Germany and with prior Premier League experience, the Frenchman could be the player to replace Salah at Liverpool.
Arne Slot has already built a lethal forward line at Liverpool, perhaps with the realisation that they cannot continue to over rely on Salah.

Olise showed in his defensive stats he has more than just goals and flair in his game in a well rounded performance.
There could be an opportunity for Olise to join Liverpool before Salah eventually leaves after the sale of Luiz Diaz to Bayern Munich and Harvey Elliott’s move to Aston Villa, leaving Slot short of options in wide areas.
Olise is versatile and would prove to be a smart addition if Liverpool could agree a deal in the future.
