Michael Owen has made his latest Premier League predicitons, including Chelsea’s crunch clash against Leicester City.

The Blues got back to winning ways last weekend with a narrow 1-0 victory over London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Frank Lampard’s side are down in eighth in the table and face a tricky test at the King Power Stadium when they take on third-placed Leicester on Tuesday night.

Former Liverpool striker Owen is expecting a tight encounter and can’t see past a 1-1 draw.

‘This one has the potential to be a cracker’ Owen told BetVictor. ‘Leicester welcome Chelsea fresh from winning against a decent, albeit not at full strength, Southampton side.

‘Chelsea are beginning to pick up again after their slump over the festive period.

‘They were well worth their 1-0 away to Fulham at the weekend and should take confidence from that.

‘This one could be tight, and I reckon if you were to offer both managers a point just now, they’d probably take it.’

League leaders Manchester United go up against Fulham on Wednesday evening following their goalless draw with Liverpool last weekend.

The Red Devils have gone 12 top-flight games unbeaten, and Owen has backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to pick up a 2-1 win at Craven Cottage.

‘Away day specialists Manchester United executed their game plan to perfection at Anfield on Sunday,’ Owen added. ‘They could’ve left with all 3 points but overall, they’ll be pleased with the outcome.

‘They take on a Fulham side that narrowly lost out to Chelsea, however, despite that defeat they have made noticeable improvements over the last month or so.

‘That said, United are undefeated in their last 16 away matches in the Premier League I cannot see them slipping up here.’

Michael Owen's Premier League predictions

Leicester 1-1 Chelsea

Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

Liverpool 1-0 Burnley

Man City 3-1 Aston Villa

Liverpool’s draw with United has seen them drop down to fourth in the table ahead of their meeting with Burnley on Thursday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are struggling in front of goal and though Owen can’t see the floodgates being opened at Anfield, he believes his former side can nick a 1-0 win.

‘Liverpool were left frustrated after the weekends stalemate against Manchester United,’ Owen continued. ‘No goals in three matches will be concerning for Jurgen Klopp and they face a Burnley side here that we all know should be well organised.

‘I think the Reds will have to be patient, but I would be surprised if they drew another blank with the talent they have on the pitch.

‘With that in mind, I’m going for a narrow home win.’
