Dominic Corness has officially confirmed his Liverpool departure after 17 years at the club, finalizing a move to Cymru Premier side The New Saints.
The 22-year-old midfielder rejected a contract extension and will now aim to secure consistent first-team football elsewhere.
Corness joined Liverpool as a five-year-old and progressed through the ranks to become captain of the U21s.
Known for his pinpoint passing and left-footed set-piece deliveries earning him the nickname ‘The Wand’, he became a standout in the academy setup.
Despite several call-ups to first-team training and appearances in mid-season friendlies, Corness never made a competitive senior appearance for the Reds.

Corness was one of seven players announced to leave the club at the end of their contracts on July 1.
Liverpool had offered him a new deal, but he opted for a permanent switch to The New Saints, where he hopes to take the next step in his career.
Speaking after the announcement via reports by the club’s media, Corness said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to have signed for The New Saints.
“From the moment I heard about the opportunity, I knew it was the right move for me.”
The move will involve a nominal compensation fee to Liverpool, as Corness is under the age of 23.
Also departing alongside Corness are Jakub Ojrzynski, Reece Trueman, Jacob Poytress, Lee Jonas, Louis Enahoro-Marcus and Harry Evers.
Meanwhile, offers remain on the table for young talents like Wellity Lucky and Keyrol Figueroa as the club reshapes its academy ranks for the future.
