Liverpool has confirmed the signing of Hungary left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth in a deal understood to be worth $54 million (£40 million).

After a series of hints that Kerkez was keen to join the Premier League champions, the 21-year-old has now been officially unveiled as the Reds' fourth summer signing.

Liverpool will begin the new Premier League season against Bournemouth, so Kerkez could make his official debut against his former side.



Before that, he will join the team for pre-season, which begins on July 8.

Kerkez becomes the third Hungarian at Liverpool after fellow summer signing Pecsi, the highly rated young goalkeeper; and midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.
