Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz have both had a hard time of it since joining Liverpool.

Both players have started each Premier League game that Liverpool have been a part of this season, with both getting taken off before the full-time whistle was blown.

In fact, it was left-back David Raum who earned the man of the match award from Sofascore, which shows that, if Liverpool can replicate this position for Wirtz in their starting XI, it could bring out the best in both Wirtz and Kerkez.

This is because if Wirtz is drifting towards the Reds’ left-back, it gives Kerkez some cover to bomb forward and get a ball into the box or even net one of his own.

Now that Liverpool have signed Alexander Isak, there’s more or less no excuse for them not to come away with the Premier League title this season.

Wirtz will have a key part to play in Liverpool’s fortunes this season, with the German likely to be seen as Liverpool’s creative spark once Mohamed Salah goes to AFCON.

Of course, others such as Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister will also be called upon, but since Wirtz contributed to over 30 goals last term, all eyes will be on him.
