Some Bournemouth fans criticized Milos Kerkez for apparently leaving it too long to issue a farewell message to the South Coast club and its fans on social media.
Kerkez finalized his transfer to Liverpool last week, signing a five-year contract with the Reds after emerging as one of the Premier League's best left-backs last season.
On Tuesday (July 1), he took to Instagram to issue a farewell message to Bournemouth, writing: "I want to thank the whole Bournemouth family for giving me the chance to come and play in the Premier League, the gaffer, everyone at coaching staff, everyone at club, you guys will always be in my heart, especially the players, made all friends for life.

See you soon."
Despite the warm message, some Cherries supporters suggested that he had left it too long to acknowledge his former club.
One fan wrote: "Oh, you remembered then," while another said: "He signed for Liverpool a week ago and only just made a thank you post."
In fairness, most Bournemouth fans viewed the post rationally, with many thanking Kerkez and wishing him the best of luck at his new club, but there were a few who felt the need to be negative.
Kerkez, who will report to the AXA Training Center when Liverpool starts pre-season training next Monday, spoke to club media as his transfer was announced last week.
"It's a real honor for me to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, the biggest club in England," Kerkez told Liverpool's official website.
"I'm just really, really happy and excited.
"After this, I'll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can't really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season.
I just want to thank everyone for really showing me big love, even before it will be announced now."
Kerkez was brought to Liverpool by sporting director Richard Hughes, who also previously signed him for Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old spoke about how he and Arne Slot influenced the transfer:
"As everyone knows, [Richard Hughes] brought me to Bournemouth and was [a] big part why I came to Bournemouth
