Liverpool is yet to announce the signing of Milos Kerkez because the club had some "technical bits and bobs" to sort out before doing so.
Kerkez is set to become the Reds' third major signing of the summer following the arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, and the Hungarian left-back flew into the UK in recent days to undergo his medical.
Many Reds fans were expecting the Kerkez deal to have been announced by now, but there no need to be concerned as the transfer is still fully expected to go ahead as planned.
Renowned transfer guru David Ornstein provided an update on the Kerkez situation on The Athletic 's latest podcast.
"The deal [for Kerkez is] worth around £40 million ($55 million), and he is a player who we've all seen flourish since signing for Bournemouth — a signing that was completed by Richard Hughes when he was the sporting director at Bournemouth."
.
Richard Hughes signed Kerkez for Bournemouth.
Ornstein went on to compliment Liverpool's transfer activity in the market, with three key signings all set to be wrapped up before the end of June.
He added: "It (the Wirtz deal) compliments their early business really well
Liverpool fans are all very impressed and excited by that.
"Of course the jewel in the crown is Florian Wirtz
"Everybody knows he's a top player and that's no secret, it's more worthy of applause that Liverpool have managed to pull off that deal to attract a player like Wirtz amid interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City."
