The family of new Liverpool defender Milos Kerkez has posted a series of pictures and videos after the Hungarian's £40million move was confirmed.

The 21-year-old became Arne Slot's third signing of the summer after Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz with the Dutchman moving to add competition to his left-back department.

Kerkez sparked uncertainty surrounding his future with a cryptic message as the curtain came down on Bournemouth's season in May.

It wasn't long before Liverpool became the frontrunners and eventually, the formality became a matter of when and not if.

The former AC Milan and AZ Alkmaar full-back teased his move throughout the summer months before his father all but confirmed the move during a recent appearances on the Super Indirektno podcast.

On Thursday, with pre-season due to get underway on July 7, Kerkez was confirmed as the latest summer addition to take Liverpool's spending spree to beyond £200million, with the £116m swoop for Wirtz taking up a healthy chunk of the shopping so far in the transfer market.

Kerkez's father, Sebastian, posted two stories to his Instagram profile, including one passionately fist-bumping to the-now world renowned 'Allez, Allez, Allez' Liverpool song, sang by Jamie Webster, in his car.

He followed up the post with a picture of his family, with a baby wearing a Liverpool babygrow while the woman wore the Reds home shirt from the Premier League-winning campaign with You'll Never Walk Alone playing over it.

"I'm really happy," he told the official Liverpool website.

"It's a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, [the] biggest club in England.

"I'm just really, really happy and excited.

"After this, I'll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can't really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season.
