Ange Postecoglou is now a Europa League champion after leading Tottenham to success
Mohamed Salah was quick to congratulate Tottenham's Europa League success as the Liverpool icon referenced Ange Postecoglou's second season claim.
The Australian was adamant he would deliver a trophy this term, as has been the case in the past.
Postecoglou has been able to continue with his trend and back up his words by winning on the European stage, downing Manchester United in the final as Brennan Johnson came up with the only goal at San Mames.
Tottenham have been poor domestically and sit 17th in the Premier League, but have been able to step up in Europe.
They've seen off the likes of Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt en route to the final and the Liverpool icon has recognised Tottenham's success and their manager's claim.
The Egyptian tweeted: "He did say he’d win in his second season.
Postecoglou piled the pressure on himself earlier this season when he declared that, throughout his managerial career, he's delivered in his second season.
He said several months ago as the pressure began to mount: "Usually in my second season, I win things.
Hopefully, the second year is going on to win things."

He doubled down on that bold claim and added: "I’ll correct myself - I don’t usually win things, I always win things in my second year.
17 long years without a trophy, a really poor domestic campaign, it's all turned around."
