Mo Salah has cheekily urged Kevin de Bruyne to join Liverpool as the Belgian prepares to leave Manchester City.

De Bruyne will call time on a 10-year association with City at the end of the season.

The midfielder has played a key role in six Premier League title wins, two FA Cups and their run to lifting the Champions League in 2023.

He has also been named Premier League Player of the Season twice.

The past two years have been more difficult for the 33-year-old as he battled against injury.

He also appeared to lose the total trust of manager Pep Guardiola, finding himself increasingly used as a substitute.

While De Bruyne was open to remaining at the Etihad Stadium, club chiefs opted against handing him a new contract.

I know I'm not 25 anymore, but I still feel like I can do my job.

I still feel like I can play at a good level, but after I'll have to make a decision once I really know a little bit more."
