Mo Salah believes Aston Villa are “lucky” to have Harvey Elliott after striking a deadline day deal to sign the Liverpool star.

He made 149 appearances for the Reds scoring 15 goals, while he won the Premier League, League Cup and Club World Cup during his time with Liverpool.

He wrote a lengthy message to supporters following his exit.



Elliott said: "Thank you to everybody at the club for welcoming me from the very first day I arrived, and for looking after me ever since.
