Mohamed Salah is desperate to follow up Liverpool's title triumph with the Champions League next season

Mohamed Salah has set his heart on conquering Europe next season - and the world.

Egyptian king Salah is eyeing the Ballon D’Or as he looks set to break more records after helping Liverpool run away with the Premier League title.

Salah, 32, is already on 46 goals and assists in a Premier League season - just one behind joint record holders Andy Cole and Alan Shearer - and wants to follow that up by targeting Champions League glory next season.

Liverpool superstar Salah said: “So, I go again next year to break the records again!

As a team, again winning the Premier League but now our priority will be more the Champions League but winning the Premier League would be so special.

“Just win the Premier League again and the Champions League.

Hopefully more awards and records.

"It all comes together when the team wins stuff, like trophies then it comes easier to win it.”

The Liverpool superstar is among the favourites like Barcelona superstar Raphinha and Salah says it would be special for his fans on Merseyside and in Egypt.

When asked whether he wants to get his hands on the trophy, Salah added: "Hopefully, yeah.

Salah has also targeted a bold ambition of winning the Ballon d'Or

"I would say that I have never had a season like this and winning big, big trophies so this is my best chance to win it while I’m in the club because it’s been a crazy year, crazy season with trophies and it means there’s a chance.

"It would mean a lot to me and to the people to win it.

But again, I have had a great season and if it comes then it comes but if not then it’s not in my hands.

"I’ve done my best through the season, winning the Premier League was such an incredible season with those numbers and the assists, hopefully it will help but we will see."
