Mohamed Salah has sent a touching message to Trent Alexander-Arnold after the defender confirmed he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
Alexander-Arnold has turned down a new contract with his boyhood club in favour of moving to Real Madrid on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old has been with Liverpool since childhood and has come through the academy to help them win eight major honours.
He has decided to call it a day and move to Real on a six-year deal after winning his second Premier League title this season.
The England star called it the "hardest decision of his life" and stressed that he will continue to support Liverpool, despite playing elsewhere.
The news was met with anger from some Reds supporters, who are upset with what they consider disloyalty, but it is clear that Alexander-Arnold's team-mates don't see it that way.
Salah has formed a strong partnership with him on the right side of Liverpool's attack over the past eight years and chose to reflect on the good times on Monday.
