Mohamed Salah continues to be linked with a Saudi Pro League transfer once his Liverpool career comes to an end(Image: Marc Atkins/Getty Images)
Mohamed Salah is still 'top of the list' of transfer targets for Saudi Pro League sides and he would be welcomed with open arms, admits Al-Ahli president Khaled Al-Eissa.
This is said even in the aftermath of the Liverpool icon signing a new two-year contract extension to ward off such interest.
The Egyptian's contract was a major talking point before its mid-April resolution and Liverpool winning the Premier League not long after.
Numerous veterans have found themselves swayed by lucrative wage packages, but not this man.

It is a stance that may change over the course of the upcoming two seasons that will see Salah reach his 35th birthday and 10th year on Merseyside by the end.
Only time will tell.
And now Al-Eissa, president of AFC Champions League winners Al-Ahli, has suggested that his club and their league's interest will persist in spite of the fact they have been fended off for the time being.
"Saudi football, under the vision of the Crown Prince (Prince Mohammed bin Salman), was interested in all international players.

"The vision of the Crown Prince made the Kingdom a preferred destination (for players), and most players are looking to play in the Kingdom," Arabi21 were told.Al-Eissa added: "We are interested in all international players.
Captain Mohamed Salah is definitely at the top of this list, and we are happy to have him in Saudi Arabia.
God willing, at the right time, he will be with one of the Saudi clubs."
Were Al-Ahli to be Salah's destination at the point in time his Anfield career comes to an end, as is the picture currently, he would be reunited with former teammate and good friend Roberto Firmino.
Even if it were to be another club, he would be in a league that fellow former Reds Sadio Mane, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum all call home.
But as stated, Salah is still proving he is at the peak of his powers.
With three matches to go he leads the Premier League goalscoring charts, recently surpassed Sergio Aguero as the highest-ever foreign goalscorer and also Gordon Hodgson as Liverpool's third-highest of all time.
"Of course I’m very excited," he said as his new deal was locked in.
