And, even though Salah hasn’t been Liverpool’s best player this season, he’s still managed to pull through when it’s mattered the most.

It goes without saying that, if Liverpool didn’t have Salah among their ranks last term, they’d have missed out on the Premier League title.

And, as per a report from BBC Sport, it seems like Salah has once again etched his name in Liverpool’s history books, despite performing well below par.

“Mo Salah’s penalty has seen him become Liverpool’s record scorer from the spot in their league history.

And, even Burnley made a good name for themselves on Sunday, with Salah admitting that they were a “tough opponent” to face.

“Tough opponent today, we tried our best to get the ball between the lines.

We try and push ourselves to the limit and as team we did that.”

At the moment, Liverpool look well on their way to retaining the Premier League title, but if they perform the way they did on Sunday against Atletico Madrid in their first Champions League game of the campaign, they’ll not be as lucky.
