Mohamed Salah is not pleased with his Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price and has pleaded with bosses to make him more affordable.



The Liverpool forward toyed with Premier League defences last season and finished as the division's top scorer and assister as the Reds romped to the title by a 10-point margin.

Salah is now the most expensive player on the FPL platform, with his £14.5m price marking a £2m increase from the start of last season and giving him the highest opening cost for a midfielder in Fantasy Premier League history, surpassing the £14m attributed to Cristiano Ronaldo at the start of the 2008/09 campaign.

Liverpool's Egyptian forward had a smile on his face upon learning how much fans must pay to have him in their teams, but what followed was a complaint as he feels that strikers, like Reds target Alexander Isak, should be priced higher than him.

"First of all I want you guys to put my price down so everybody can have me in the team," Salah said in a video posted to X by @OfficialFPL.

Salah has been making the same complaint for years.

In previous pre-season interviews with FPL, he ranted: "It's too expensive for people to buy me!" He said leading into a different campaign: "I think you could reduce it a little bit so everybody can buy me."

But with 2025/26 just around the corner, Salah did acknowledge that he will most likely be a big hitter in the FPL charts.

Salah will be playing as part of a revamped squad this season, with Liverpool splashing out on the likes of Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike to try and cement their status as the Premier League's top dogs.

Whether the Reds can get their hands on Isak to put the cherry on top of their window remains to be seen.
