Mohamed Salah broke record after record last season, and his new two-year deal suggests he is not finished just yet.
The Reds romped to the Premier League title last season and a huge contributing factor in achieving this was due to the goals Salah brought to the team.
The Egyptian ended the season as the division’s top scorer and top assister, finishing the campaign with 47 goal involvements in the league alone.
And now, even at the age of 33, Salah appears ready to break even more records and help Liverpool retain their title, as well as try and pick up any other trophies of course.
In fact, there is one in particular that he broke last season and based on the transfer activity that has gone on thus far, he only looks set to extend his lead at the top.

Despite all of the astonishing records Salah has, some of them can be rather random, with his record for the most goals on the opening weekend of a season just one of them.
The Egyptian has scored nine goals in gameweek one of the season, breaking the record that was shared between Frank Lampard, Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney.
And now, it would be no surprise to see him make it 10 against Bournemouth on Friday, especially as their defence continues to weaken throughout the summer.

First, they lost teenage star Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid before letting Milos Kerkez move to the Reds, with their latest exit seeing Ilia Zabarnyi join PSG.

That means three of their regular back four from last season have now gone, and the Cherries are still yet to replace them all properly.
This will only encourage the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Salah even more and give them the confidence to get on the scoresheet, therefore extending the 33-year-old’s lead at the top of his unusual record.
Based on just how consistent Salah has been since his arrival in 2017, many would think that he will not be too far off Alan Shearer’s record as the top scorer in Premier League history.
However, the Egyptian is still a little way off, showing just how good Shearer really was, as he is still 74 goals behind the Englishman’s record.

He is currently fifth in the all-time charts, but he could go as high as second after next season, although he would have to score 27 goals to overtake Harry Kane’s tally of 213.
The Egyptian currently has two years left on his deal, but if he does indeed end up second after the next campaign, it would be no surprise to see him extend his contract further to try and break Shearer’s long-standing record.
