Around two and a half hours after a car drove into the Liverpool city center during the club's parade celebrating the Reds' 20th league title, star Mohamed Salah posted a photo of himself on X lifting the Premier League trophy at Anfield.
“We are in direct contact with Merseyside Police regarding the incident on Water Street, which happened towards the end of the trophy parade earlier this evening," it read
“Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this serious incident.
We will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities who are dealing with this incident.”

Salah returned to X for a post on Wednesday, posted a split image of himself kissing the Premier League trophy with another of him wearing a crown.
In addition to capturing his second Premier League crown, the winger captured the league's Player of the Year honor, Golden Boot as the top scorer, and was the league's leader in assists.
Salah tied the all-time Premier League record for the most goal involvements, leveling former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer's mark with 47.
He sits fifth on the Premier League's list of all-time scorers with 186
