Every summer, ahead of the new Premier League season, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers begin their pre-season debates.
They study fixtures, compare prices, and argue over which big names are “essential” for the opening weeks.
And every year, Mohamed Salah is part of that discussion.
The Liverpool forward has been one of the most consistent point scorers since joining the club in 2017.
He has delivered goals, assists, and bonus points in nearly every campaign, making him a popular pick in FPL squads worldwide.
But there is also the issue of his price tag.
FPL managers often complain about how much of their budget is required to include him, especially when balancing the rest of the team.
It has now become a tradition for Salah to be asked about FPL whenever he does media ahead of a new season.
And this year was no different.
When asked again why FPL managers should choose him for the 2025/26 season, Salah laughed off the familiar question.
“Why pick me.
Nothing changed,” he said.
The interviewer reminded him that he is a known fan of the game, before putting the question in Fantasy terms.
That was when Salah gave a direct message to the FPL organisers.
“First of all, I want you guys to put my price down so everybody can have me in the team.”
“I said that in Twitter before, I’m telling you in a video, put my price down and that’s it,” he said.
Salah then made his case for who should top the list instead.
“Now I’m the highest.”
“No, put the striker at the highest.”
“Haaland should be the highest.”
“So not a winger has to be the highest.”
And finally, he reminded managers of why he remains a reliable pick.
“Why they would pick me?”
“Because I give them good points.”
“Guaranteed points.”
Liverpool fans and FPL managers will now wait to see if his plea changes anything.
