Posing on a throne in the middle of the Anfield turf while smiling like a Cheshire cat, it is a wholly appropriate image to confirm Mohamed Salah is staying at Liverpool.
Salah putting pen to paper on a new two-year deal to extend his Reds' commitment to a full decade brought an end to a contract saga that, if not quite in danger of derailing the campaign under Arne Slot, most certainly was proving an unwanted distraction.

The forward had long made clear his desire to continue at the club.
And with key details of the agreement having finally been thrashed out, Salah now has an opportunity to further cement his place in the Anfield annals.

That, though, isn't the reason the 32-year-old was so keen to remain a Red.
"I believe the team can win trophies," says Salah.
That’s a great asset to have also as a manager."
As well as favourite to claim the Premier League Golden Boot for a record-equalling fourth time, Salah is backed to win both the PFA Player of the Year and Footballer of the Year awards, as well as being a front-runner for the Ballon d'Or.
But he says: "It’s great but I’m more proud when we win team trophies because this is the most important thing.
Just individual awards without winning anything doesn’t feel great."
The ecstatic response among Liverpool supporters at Salah signing a new deal was matched by the reaction when the forward told his family.
